Whitney Davis-Houston recently launched her own practice specializing in small business and entertainment transactions. Her clients include producers and production companies, as well as small business concerns.
She was previously an associate in the Los Angeles office of Seyfarth Shaw LP. A member of the Labor & Employment department, she represents clients in all areas of Workers’ Compensation defense, including professional athlete claims, 132(a) claims, serious and willful allegations and subrogation. Ms. Davis-Houston has also represented clients in the areas of single plaintiff discrimination, real estate litigation, and contract disputes.
Ms. Davis-Houston is a past member of the State Bar Executive Committee for Workers Compensation, where she worked on education and practice and legislative issues. She is also a 2013 Lawyers of Color Hot List Award Recipient.
She obtained her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, where she was president of the Black Law Student Association during her second year. She obtained her B.S. from Howard University.
